This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ12 am. High Point is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and High Point follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Finally tried the newest venue in High Point and it is gorgeous! No detail was spared in the decor and space! We ate at Umbo and it was delicious, our server was so wonderful and knowledgeable that he really made the night. My drink was absolutely fabulous and paired well with everything! It was a little loud but I chalk that up to being new and busy! Very proud of the owners for bringing this to life and creating a space where everyone can find something they like!

It was just okay. We went on a Sunday night with a group of 5 to watch a football game but it wasnβt busy. Waited 10 minutes for a server to even greet the table. I donβt remember his name but he was a black guy who was bald and wore a lot of gold jewelry. He finally came to the table with a personality like we had inconvenienced him by sitting in his section. Ordered the Hot Honey Pepperoni Flatbread which happened to be as flat as a tortilla and harder than arithmetic. Also ordered the raspberry lemon drop with tequila instead of vodka. It came out as a regular lemon drop with tequila instead, but it took so long that I didnβt even have the energy to complain. The taste wasnβt bad, but personally I would not recommend any full service areas of this place and wonβt be back. At most, walk up to the bar to order drinks only if you have to go at all. To top it all off, the same waiter assumed I didnβt want any of my change back and assumed it was his tip. At this point, I wanna speak to both Smitty AND Pearl.

It was OK, nothing I ate or drank was worth going back for. It is a beautiful building and decorated gorgeously, but just not my kind of place. Limited beer options didnt go over well with our group. Nice place, but just not MY kind of place.

Had a reservation and table was ready upon arrival. Waited about 15 minutes for server, who was good, and then nearly 40 minutes for food to come out. Food was decent, didnβt overwhelm me. Manager was nice enough to comp my motherβs 81st birthday dessert.

Went for our anniversary dinner. Such a beautiful building and atmosphere. While only their second week open service had some faults which Iβm sure they will work through. Dinner at umbo was delicious and after dinner drinks in Siren lounge was perfect. Such a great addition to High Point. Already looking forward to our next trip.
